Student Council

Membership on the student council gives the students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, to put into practice the principles of democracy, and to develop an attitude of pride and service to their school. In addition, student council sponsors special activities throughout the school year. Students must maintain a C+ average in each subject area and no conduct grade lower than a B-. Students receiving excessive detentions will be disqualified. Student council officers are elected in May from grades 6 and 7. Classroom representatives are elected for grades 3 through 8.

In order to run for student council students must meet the following requirements:

  • Permission from parents/guardians
  • Approval of homeroom teacher and administrator
  • Academic grades no lower than a C
  • Conduct and effort grades no lower that a B-
  • Participation in school/church related service programs
